Richland College Selects ZogoTech's Student Engagement Software for Student Support Services

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 23, 2007 -- ZogoTech™, a leading provider of integrated Student Engagement and Business Intelligence software for Higher Education, announced that Richland College has selected ZogoTech's Student Engagement solution (Estudias Enterprise™) for its Student Support Services department.

Richland College, winner of the 2005 Baldrige Award, serves 14,000 college credit students and 5,000 continuing education students. Richland is one of seven locations in the Dallas County Community College District.

ZogoTech's solution will help Richland better serve students through at-risk intervention, consolidating data silos, centralizing contact notes, and linking those services to learning outcomes such as graduation, retention, and transfer. ZogoTech's proven integration with the school's ERP, Datatel Colleague, was especially appealing. Currently, five of the colleges in the Dallas County Community College District are using ZogoTech's Student Engagement solutions.

According to Myron Laster, Director of Student Support Services, "We were pulling data from many different data silos. ZogoTech's solution will allow us to run our own queries without having to search around or ask other offices to get it from [Datatel Colleague."

Michael Taft, President of ZogoTech, agreed: "In a school that prides itself on making data-informed decisions, it is especially important that everyone have quick access to consistent data. We're excited about partnering with Richland to provide them with that."

Success with the Student Engagement module will help pave the way for adoption of the other two modules: Research Intelligence and Executive Intelligence. The Research Intelligence module allows institutional researchers, deans, VPs, to quickly analyze data, perform predictive analytics, run longitudinal cohort comparisons, and ad-hoc reports. The upcoming Executive Intelligence module will allow Presidents and VPs to get high-level views of their institution through balanced scorecards and dashboards influenced from ideas from Richland College.

According to Laster, "We were looking for a program that could bring together all of the components of student advising, at-risk intervention, and queries. We have a one-stop shop in terms of service, so we need to have all of the information about a student in one place. ZogoTech's solution will give us that."

Why Do Connecticut College Financial Aid Award Letters Include So Many Student And Parent Loans
One of the most embarrassing facts about the Connecticut college financial aid system is the fact that parents and students are practically forced to go into even further debt under the guise of financial aid to pay for college. Why do Connecticut colleges have billions of dollars in cash sitting around and yet force parents and students to take on so much debt?
