Bridgewater College Chooses OTAir's University Emergency Notification System for Campus Alerts
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) October 10, 2007 -- OTAir, LLC, a national leader specializing in mobile marketing technology, has announced an agreement with Bridgewater College to provide the school with emergency and security alerts through text messaging and email. Bridgewater College will use OTAir's University Alert System (UAS), which allows authorized school officials to notify students, staff, faculty, local authorities and more about any emergency situation where instant communication is critical.
The University Alert broadcast system can be used to reach large groups of people, including parents, alumni, sports fans, and more to provide instant information in a crisis situation. While the size of the Bridgewater campus can help facilitate communication in an emergency situation, text messaging adds a more proactive method of notification in a crisis situation. The text message and email alerts provided through OTAir's University Alert System will serve as a primary method of contact; however students, faculty, and staff will still be able to obtain information on the school's Website and weather/emergency hotline. Additionally, timely announcements will be broadcast on local radio and TV stations.
