Portland Female Executives (PDXfX) Hosts "Silent Night" at The University Club

Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 27, 2007) -- On Tuesday, December 4, the night will sparkle as Portland Female Executives (PDXfX (http://www.pdxfx.org)) hosts its annual silent auction benefit, "Silent Night," from 6 to 9 p.m. at the historic University Club of Portland. Break out the little black dress or jacket, bring a spouse or friend, and enjoy some holiday cheer and a little good-natured competitive bidding accompanied by complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine.

Featured auction items include wine tastings, spa packages, gift baskets, and more. It's the perfect chance for holiday shopping in style as well as an opportunity to mingle with friends and Portland's female business leaders in a festive setting. Proceeds benefit Portland-based BecomeX, a leadership and personal development program for young women, and PDXfX, a non-profit organization supporting the advancement of women in business.

"The mission of BecomeX is to help young women live lives directed by choice, rather than circumstance or societal pressures," says Anca Solberg, BecomeX community relations director. "Thanks to the efforts of sponsors like PDXfX, BecomeX is able inspire a larger group of young women to achieve their full potential.
