It is Young's purpose to share these memories with a wider audience. "Unless recorded, they will be lost forever," he says. About the Author

Newman Young, originally of Vernon, Texas, earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Midwestern State University. He was a varsity athlete in football at the university. His career in education spans nearly four decades, where he held positions as a teacher, coach, principal--including time spent as the principal of his daughter's high school--and superintendent. He currently lives in Wichita Falls, Texas.
