nCode Expands North American Operations: Rapid Growth Leads to Collaboration with Mississippi State University's Center for Advanced Vehicular System
Southfield, MI (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- nCode International, a global provider of durability focused software & instrumentation solutions that help manufacturers and operators eliminate unexpected product failures, announced today further development in its North American expansion with the creation of a new Advanced Applications Center in Starkville, Mississippi. The Advanced Applications Center, initially focusing on federal programs to integrate software & instrumentation solutions, will combine the expertise of Mississippi State University and nCode. nCode's proven leadership in durability, test, measurement and product design solutions combined with Mississippi State University's strength and expertise in material research, structural testing, vehicle systems, and high performance computing, makes for a solid partnership. Located in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park, nCode will team with the university's renowned Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS).
"Technologically advanced businesses, such as nCode, help our state by bringing new job opportunities, which helps to entice the establishment and growth of additional technology based industries," said Zach L. Rowland, Deputy Director - CAVS Mississippi State University. "We at CAVS are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to supporting nCode in its growth and expansion into Mississippi," he further stated.
nCode continues to invest in durability and prognostics, and will use this initiative to accelerate its efforts in addition to building relationships and expertise with growing groups in similar areas within the CAVS organization. The primary emphasis will be on durability and vehicle systems along with key OEMs in Mississippi; including PACCAR, Toyota, Nissan, Eurocopter, SeverCorr Steel, and International Military Group.
"nCode has doubled in size twice over the last 7 years," said Brian Dabell, nCode's Executive Vice President - Business Development. "Our goal is to continue this rapid growth via strategic expansion opportunities such as our collaboration with Mississippi State's CAVS," he added. This new partnership will leverage both nCode and Mississippi State University's knowledge and expertise in the areas of durability engineering and vehicle systems.
The facility will at first concentrate on configuring nCode's products to create integrated prognostic systems targeted at military vehicles. These systems will monitor information to improve understanding of the operational usage and conditions for combat and tactical vehicles. The initial objectives are to increase the safety of personnel, improve the durability and reliability of the vehicles, reduce operational costs and eliminate unexpected problems. Over time initiatives will expand to include developing commercial applications for vehicle fleet and high value asset management and monitoring systems.
