The Principals of Full Sail Real World Education Announce New Partnership with Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design

RMCAD is well-known for its outstanding leadership, quality curriculum and strategic location. The institution was founded by Phillip J. Steele and has been succeeded by Steele's son and daughter, Steve Steele and Susan Pivoda, who continue to serve as RMCAD's President and Vice President for Business & Planning, respectively. Presently, RMCAD offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees in the following six disciplines: Animation (2-D or 3-D); Art Education (Painting and Drawing, Sculpture or Illustration); Graphic Design and Interactive Media; Illustration; Interior Design (with a green design emphasis); and Fine Arts (Painting and Drawing, Sculpture or Photo/Video). The College is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is also accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.

RMCAD is located on a picturesque 23-acre campus near downtown Denver, Colorado, at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It offers 140,000 square feet of facilities that accommodates over 500 currently enrolled students. The campus features six Macintosh and Windows NT computer labs, art studios, classrooms in over 15 buildings, plentiful green space, and the Phillip J. Full Sail's presence in Central Florida and the existence of the two Los Angeles schools in Southern California has significantly contributed to the economic impact of both states.

In a study conducted by The Washington Economics Group, results indicate that Full Sail's presence in the Orlando region was responsible for a regional impact of $400,000,000 in 2006 with a $2,700,000,000 projected total regional impact over the next five years. Full Sail also positively impacts employment positions in the region as 3,500 jobs exist because of the college's activities, and that number is projected to grow to 6,000 positions within the next five years.

Similarly, the Los Angeles schools make a significant impact to the greater Los Angeles region. The Washington Economics Group concluded that combined, The Los Angeles Film School and The Los Angeles Recording School generate $129,000,000 of economic impact this year, and that number is expected to total $1,200,000,000 over the next five years. The two LA schools support 1,059 employment positions in the region, with an expected growth to 2,600 positions five years from now.

This kind of economic growth that can positively affect a region is a contributing factor for the RMCAD institution to choose partnership with the principals of Full Sail.
