Almeda University Offers Higher Education at a Lower Price
Boise, ID (PRWEB) December 15, 2007 -- Almeda University makes higher learning accessible to a wide range of students by offering the advanced degrees that employers are seeking and tuition rates that students can fit into their budgets today. With the cost of higher education rising faster than the rate of inflation and the increasing importance of college degrees in the workplace, students are finding themselves in the difficult position of choosing between paying the bills today and investing in the future. Almeda University tackles this problem by providing degree programs with the flexibility to accommodate a busy work and family schedule and tuition costs that won't break the bank.
A recent study by College Board found that the average cost of in-state tuition and fees at four-year public universities across the United States is currently $6,185 per year, marking a rise of 6.6 percent since last year. The average cost of a private 4-year institution rose 6.3 percent to $23,712. Even more disheartening is the fact that financial aid programs are not keeping up with these increases, making higher education less accessible to middle and low-income individuals. Many of these students are finding a solution to this educational and employment crisis at Almeda University.
Almeda University promotes higher education for men and women across the financial spectrum by providing programs at a fraction of the cost of four-year public and private institutions. "Almeda University is committed to increasing the accessibility of higher education for everyone," states Richard Franklin, an Almeda University spokesperson. Thanks to our use of technology to deliver programs and the low overhead business model, the average cost of an Almeda Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's Degree is less than $1,000 and the average cost of a Doctorate Degree is less than $2,000. According to Franklin "at Almeda University we have an acute understanding of how profoundly a degree affects future earning potential and believe in the power of higher education to deliver a more financially secure future."
A recent study by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) supports Franklin's understanding of how education elevates salary. According to an evaluation by the BLS of the average weekly income of "full-time wage-and-salary workers aged 25 and older," a high school graduate with no diploma earns $583 per week, a holder of an Associate's Degree earns $699 per week, a worker with a Bachelor's Degree earns $937 per week, a Master's Degree holder earns $1,129 per week, and a person who holds a Doctorate earns $1,421 per week. The analysis of these weekly salaries demonstrates the enormous difference that graduates often see when adding an Almeda University degree to their resume.
Almeda University is an online institute that has been serving the international community since its inception in 1997. Over the past 10 years, Almeda has evolved to educate an expanding population through cutting edge curriculum design based on students' needs and professional service.
