Northwest School of Animal Massage Introduces Wellness Workshop Series for Pet and Animal Owners

Seattle (PRWEB) June 10, 2008 -- Increasingly, pets and animals have become akin to family members, and as a result are treated more attentively and with greater care than ever before. In response to pet and animal owners' growing interest in providing pets with top notch care that lengthens their lifespan and improves quality of life, while minimizing trips to the veterinarian's office, the Northwest School of Animal Massage (NWSAM), announced today a new series of wellness workshops for consumers.

The NWSAM, known for its highly regarded certificate program in animal massage which provides students worldwide with the professional skills to care for animals using the practice of massage therapy, will now extend its holistic offerings to pet and animal owners that wish to learn new techniques for caring for their animals. The new Wellness Workshop series of four weekend workshops is open to all animal enthusiasts, and promise to provide pet lovers with the tools and guidance to engage in holistic care for their furry friends. The Seattle-area series includes:

?    The FUNdamentals of Animal Massage: Find out how massage can benefit your pets by learning basic massage techniques and safe stretches

?    Greening Your Pet: Learn how to reduce your pet's carbon 'pawprint' with products and practices that support the health of your pet and the health of the planet

?    Animal Communication: Nationally recognized animal communicator Polly Klein teaches telepathic animal communication

?    Introduction to Aromatherapy for Pets: Learn the basic concepts of aromatherapy and how essential oils can be safely used for animals, including how to test for application and properly blend the oils

The first workshop, FUNdamentals of Animal Massage will take place on June 21-23, 2008. Space in the workshops is limited, and early registration is recommended. Participants who sign up for the entire series will get to attend the "Greening Your Pet" workshop for free. The school also offers consumers the opportunity to gather groups of likeminded friends or peers to host their own workshop with ten friends. The workshops are two full days on Saturday and Sunday, cost is $325, with the exception of the one day Greening Your Pet session in August, which costs $125.
